Ever since then i sometimes (about once every few months) experience this odd sensation and it can become a bit worrying and strange.
The whole room seems to have a new feeling to it- everything im doing whether it be walking or typing seems to intensify and become louder yet the actions are very exaggerated and almost speed up (only perceived this way). I find it very difficult to explain fully but i'm worried it's some early signs of a neurological condition or something?
It usually only onsets when i'm alone and have a lot of silence for a while...?
Silence is a strong trigger. The sensation that the room seems to take on a new "feel" is a variant of jamais vu.
Would suggest visiting a neurologist for a neurological work-up, given that simple-partial seizures may progress to complex-partial seizures in two thirds of those who experience them. The neurologist will likely order an MRI of the brain, along with an EEG. Severe childhood illness with fever can induce epilepsy. An MRI of the brain may reveal the "hot spot" that is inducing the seizures, should they be the etiology for your symptoms.
You've articulated the symptoms that you experience in great detail. My thought is that you are experiencing simple partial seizures. These "spells" are often misdiagnosed as anxiety/panic attacks, as they do share some similarities (derealization).
However, since your post is lacking a mentioning of physical symptoms, and are primarily neurological in nature, simple partial seizures originating from the temporal lobe would best explain what you have experienced throughout your life, and what you continue to experience at the present.

Good luck,
