Tapering off Xanax using Klonopin

I have been on xanax since feb 08 and i have got worse...........i think im having withdrawals from it even though im taking it regular;Told dr asked to be put back on klonopin(was on it for 8 months) so he is having me cut back my xanax by 1 pill for now and adding 0.5 mg. of klonopin 3 times a day..........Im scared anyone ever heard of this,and if i have been going thru withdrawal from xanax while on it wont it get worse tapering? I took 1 klonopin at 10 am this morning and im so drowsy..........but the xanax was getting to where i cant function............but im not functioning to well today this drowsy..............any ideas

  The fact is "I think I am going to overdose on xanax."  I have been taking anywhere from 6 to 10mgs for the 2mg xanax bars to keep my hands for shaking uncolltrolably.  Is their any other medication out there that is NOT addictive to help with the skaks and skin crawling.  My life ***** right now.  When I run out of xanax I feel like jumping off a roof onto the road.  What am I supposed to do????
PS:  I tried rehab many times,they only seem to care about opiate addicted people.
