Tapering off of 3mg Klonopin a day

I would like to get some advice on tapering off of my klonopin which I take 1mg in the morning and two mg at night. I want to get off of it because of noted memory impairment. I have talked to my doctor and she approved it.

Hi, I have recently stopped Clonazepam, which I actually got on at the first place to be able to withdraw from Lorazepam which got a much more shorter long-life and hence a more severe withdrawal.  hasn't the Doc who approved it told you what to do???

I think your doctor is the only person you should trust with this, depending on how long you have been on Clonazepam, the withdrawal could be a very very painfull process if it wasn't done properly.  I think though that your doctor would move you to Diazepam first and then deal with it. hope this helps

For personal reasons I would not like my doctor to know that I am tapering off of the Klonopin. So please from now on no posts saying how my doctor is the only one that would know and all that stuff. From someone else's experience I would like to know how they tapered of this dose.
