Summer and I emailed each other about twice daily, and she became a very good friend. She was such a kind person, and we had some great conversations. I live in the midwest, but have nieces in FL, and I always told her that when I could fly or drive on the highways/interstates, I was going to come see her and we'd go kayaking, which she loved to do. She had just started volunteering at a hospital, and the Red Cross, and was really trying hard to get out amongst them again.
I, too, had wondered why I had gotten no response to my last emails, and cards I'd send, and it broke my heart to learn the reason why.
I'll miss you, Summer, and someday we'll still meet, but just not in this life, but the next.
God Bless you and your family, and I will miss our chats so much!
Love,
Sondra
I don't know Summer at all.. but from what I gather, she seems to have been a lovely, wonderful and a very specail human being. It is extremely sad to hear of her passing away.. but as someone else here also mentioned, it is celebrating a life of such a wonderful woman. may your soul rest is peace, may you have a peaceful sleep Summer. God is with you, to take care of you. My deepest prayers and thoughts go out to her family and loved ones.

tara.
Gosh, how tragic. I have so many times been in the same moment as she was that night...just needing some sleep.
My heart and prayers go out to her family, and friends.

I knew Summer from another site. She was a good soul who struggled with a debilitating set of life circumstances. She never complained, was always supportive, always positive and never judged. I hope to one day be a person like that. Her loss saddens me.
I pray for her husband, daughter and mother during this very sorrowful time

I am part of the pregnancy 21-34 forum, and found this forum in hopes someone could help me as I feel I have anxiety... I will post soon.
But I wanted to stop by here and say to those who did know her, I am sorry for your loss if a friend, and may she rest in peace :)
It's such a loss to lose someone but also means celebrating a life.
For whatever of her good nature we may carry in our hearts from this day forward, we will honor Summer and reap great personal reward by applying what we learned from her in our relationships with others here and everywhere. Exactly as she would have it, I believe. Summer may well have known and lived by a rule that I struggle to remember and apply:
Sometimes, it is better to be good, then to be right.
She passes from us, and into us.
To all of Summer's friends, you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear friend. What a tragic story of one so young.
I pray for Summer's new found happiness and for the sadness that has stricken her family. Bless her husband and daughter in this sorrowful time. I am happy for Summer that she has now found the peace she worked so hard to find on this Earth, but saddened for the family she leaves behind.
Rest in peace, precious Summer. Rest in peace.

Thanks for sharing that with us. What a tragedy, I feel so bad for her family and friends. I'm so sorry to hear this news
This is such a tragic loss for both her family and her friends...Summer was a sweet and caring person and took the time to reach out with her kind words of encouragement and support.
I am deeply sorry that this accident occurred, and I hope that somehow others who are reading these posts who use alcohol with their meds understand just how lethal these combinations can be. These accidents do happen, so please do not tempt fate by mixing a medication cocktail.
I became very close to Summer the past 6 months. We were emailing each other every single day. In fact, it was the highlight of my day...hearing from her. She had just gotten back from a cruise, was volunteering out side of her home, learning to cook, had high hopes for the future. We used to talk about everything from kids, husbands, jobs, wrinkles, anxiety.....
She was a very very caring woman and I will miss her very much.
My thoughts and prayers are also with her husband and daughter.

My thoughts & prayers goes out to family & frends of Summer. May they find strength & peace, through the passing of a loved one.
Words are not enough. My thoughts goes out to everyone who knew Summer - friends as well as close family.
May the warm memories linger,
Florena
Summer was so sweet and caring about others, even during the worst of her own issues.
This is such a horrid tragedy and I'm sure all of us who knew her will say a prayer for her and her loved ones in our own way.
Let our sweet Summer's death leave a legacy of knowledge and understanding for all of us on this forum about mixing the medications we take with alcohol.
Sleep well Summer.
Until we meet again,

Wow...how incredibly sad. :0( I don't think I ever had any convos with her...but I know people have been asking for her recently.
My heart goes out to her family and friends...especially those of you here who grew to know her and be-friend her. What an awful tragedy. :0(
