I've only been on RemeronRemeron Remeron soltab for about 2 mos now... started out at 30mgs (to help with my PaxilPaxil Paxil cr withdrawls) then the majority of the time on 15mgs, then went down to 7.5mgs for 3 days, then 3.75mgs for 3 days then 1 day at 1/2 of that then stopped. My Doctor told me that I didn't even need to taper if I didn't want to. I'm also on ProzacProzac Prozac weekly 20mg 5 weeks today and I know that can cause anxiety.
Has anyone experinced withdrawls from RemeronRemeron Remeron soltab when on it for a short time on a relative low dose? How long can I expect these withdrawl symptoms (If that's what they are) to last?
Feel nervous and agitated, these withdrawls are not as bad as the PaxilPaxil Paxil cr withdrawls I just feel very uneasy. I would think that the ProzacProzac Prozac weekly would "protect" me from any withdrawl wouldn't it?
Thanks
Never been on it, but remember, we're all different. And don't rule out some continuation of Paxil withdrawal, since you didn't finish it, you medicated it. And since remeron and Prozac work differently, and since Prozac and Paxil work differently, no, taking one doesn't necessarily do anything about the withdrawal from the other except medicate it. It might work, but it might not. The best book I've read about this, in fact the only one I've found, is The Antidepressant Solution by Joseph Glanville. Talks a lot about withdrawal, how to deal with it, and how taking a different medication might help or hurt the process. I can tell you that Dr. Gould on the mental health forum usually says remeron isn't that difficult to quit, but then, he's a psychiatrist, and they're often morons.
I actually missed taken 2 remorom, due to running out of them. I thought it would be a nightmare. Oddly I felt no different. I take them at night. Maybe that helped. Because I was going asleep. But it was still on my own mind that I hadn't taken them. Big time. So even if there was no harm done, I was thinking there should be some bad feeling. Something we can do a lot of. Or maybe your body is just telling you that need it.
