Thought my anxiety was leaving.. but its lagging around...

25 Male.
Just want to know if people have the same symptoms?

Out of nowhere last Friday, my wife and I were on our way into town.
I started having a panic attack in the car... I just had this overwhelming feeling over my body.
I kept trying to fight it... and kept trying to fight it... then my stomach felt nauseous.  I didnt eat dinner that night...
and then after the panic attack left... it left me with a worryful stomach (nervous stomach if you will) bad butterflies. Like when you are about to get up infront of a classroom and speak nervousness.

That evening it passed... and I was fine... slept good that night.. then the next morning I woke up with a nervous stomach again. It sucked!

It has pretty much stuck with me the past few days... yesterday it acted like it was leaving.. I ate a great meal and felt good. Mowed the lawn etc. Then in the evening it came back...

It came back REALLY strong when my buddy called me to tell me my manager was going to have a talk with me tomorrow.. about something I did wrong. I slept okay lastnight, but woke up really early this morning and really couldnt fall back asleep...

My stomach was nervous again this morning... even after my manager had a talk with me over something that was NO BIG DEAL.

I didnt have an appetite all day today... now I'm home and my anxiety is still bad! My heart is racing... my stomach is nervous... I just keep thinking about how I want this to end, and I keep repeating in my head "will this go away soon!?"

My past anxiety spells would last for a week or more... so I keep telling myself it will pass...

This is not as bad as my previous spells... but it's getting old... I hate having a nervous stomach.

And I have nothing to be nervous about!!!

My question is to all of you... Does anyone relate to this?! The nervous stomach for no reason!?

Does anyone have any advice? Any natural ways to help the healing process? What causes this? Is it possible to get anxiety from things you don't even know is giving you the anxiety?

I don't want to go back to the Dr., b/c I've tried the lexapro thing... and anti depressants werent for me. I do have a safety bottle of ativan but only when I need it. And trust me I only take it when I really really need it. I used to see a psychiatrist.. and he helped a lot. But I'm not going to see him yet.. b/c I really think this will pass like it always usually does.

Do you guys think this will pass like my other spells? Or do you think I'll be feeling like this forever!? Such a crazy thing to say! My wife always tells me "Honey... just remember... last week you were feeling GREAT! and Normal! You've managed to overcome all your other spells.. .what makes you think you wont overcome this one?"

I think she's right. =) Just need a little motivation here. Thanks guys.

Its nice to hear so personally from a male, i know there are males on the site, but you remind me of myself.  I have been a nervous person my whole life and it has finally caught up to me in a bad way, i know have anxiety, when i am nervous, i feel lightheaded, i have nothing to fear, and no reason to be nervous but that is how i have always been, i started a 1 1/2 years ago on lexapro, was very disappointed and angry that i  had to go on medication, didnt want to, but it seems to help somewhat, for you i would try from the health food store, kava kava, start with a low dose 4-mg or so, when you are nervous, you can take a few a day and see how you feel, at least it is not a prescription.  let me know how you are doing, good luck

heyy,
wow everything you say is exactly how i feel..i always have a nervous stomach from my anxiety..i lose my appetite half the time with a nervous stomach and im not really nervous about anything. it just comes and goes . its so miserable. specialists that ive seen say that there is something deep down that is causing us to be nervous but ihave no idea what it is! but anyway you are not alone in this i deal with it constantly at least yours goes away from time to time. dont take pills if it does nothing for you but maybe you should continue talking to someone at least if that helps.. ttul = )

I have anxiety induced nausea and have had it for years.  I HATE it.  I went on ativan as well and I only took it when I really needed it - like you.  I also have compazine if my stomach gets really bad.
I finally decided to take ativan on a semi regular basis and I felt GREAT.  No stomach issues and i was calm - I was normal.
I then went to my holistic dr. because I really wanted to know if there was something more natural to take.  I also get the gloomy's (as I call it) and he put me on 5-HTP and I take 50mg. at night and the gloomy's have gone away.
So... yesterday he put me on a GABA product called Pharm GABA pro.  Today is the first day of taking all my doses.  He told me to take 3-4 pills a day to start out with.
My stomach isn't 100% great feeling like when I was taking the ativan but I do feel calmer and a bit tired.
I'm going to give this stuff a week and see how I feel on it.  If it only gives me mild relief or no relief,  I'll go back on the ativan.
But it's worth a try.

Cnote,
This forum just popped up under something else I was reading....and boy are we cut from the same cloth.   We'll get through this.  I'm going to try to eat some oatmeal for lunch.  I hear it helps the stomach and the brain.
