Throat Anxiety?

For the last four days my throat has felt very tight,and I find it a little bit hard to swallow.I feel like Ive got something in there,but there is nothing.

I have no Cold Symptoms.

My Wife thinks its down to anxiety as I have been worried about a little lump in my cheek which hurts,and it has a little black dot on it.

Am I just showing symptoms of anxiety?

Yes, this is an anxiety symptom but it's always best to see your Dr to find out for sure. He/she will look at your throat to see if anything is going on. You need to have the lump in your cheek looked at also. I hope you feel better. Take care. Remar

Steve, I had this very symptom and didnt eat for a week,felt as something was stuck in my throat. I went to the ear nose and throat Dr. and he ran a scope to see if something was wronge.Needless to say I just walked out with a script for XANAX. Nothing more than my anxiety.It can cause all kinds of symptoms. But I agree with Remar you need to get checked out ! Better safe than sorry :-)  Hope you feel better really soon!!!! Keep us updated!

The throat feels very tight,and I find it hard to go to sleep.

The lump is very small,but has a little black dot on it.If I push on it but further in my cheek thats where it hurts.I had an x ray at the dentist 2 weeks ago as I thought it was my jaw,and that came back ok.Would that have picked anything sinister up?

Its normal..i once had tightness in the throat for 2 weeks straight,so worried went to a doctor,physical examination fine,the only thing is if u have a cough.sore throat then it needs further test by the doctor

Did you think the worst? And did it feel like a pushing pain on your windpipe?

Ive got a little lump in my mouth that makes my right cheek hurts,it has a tiny black dot on it.Can anyone give me any clues on what they might be?

Im on 22,it surely cant be throat or mouth cancer can it? :-(
