Tired + Anxiety

I am 25 years old. I have been daeling with aniexty all my life. In the past few years I have noticed that I am sleeping more and more. If I don't have to work, I can sleep all day. I sleep anywhere from 12-15 hours a day. My body just feels tired and worn out. I can not ever seem to get the energy to do anything. My work and school are suffereing. I know that my anxiety could be apart of it but I can easily control them. DO you have any advice on what I should do ot medications I should take. Currently I take celexa and are prescribed to xanax. I do not take the xanax very often because it makes me more tired. I am going to see my doctor next week but thought I could get some answers here too. Please help in anyway that you can.

It sounds like depression which means you may have built up a tolerance to your Celexa, which is normal. You don't say how long you've been on medication, so it may also mean it's not working or you need an increase in your dosage. It's good that you are seeing your doctor because he is truly your best resource. Anytime something new comes up while on medication check with your doctor, he will know what is best for you.  Explain to your doctor exactly what you did here and he will know what is best.  Take care.
