Tiredness

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how much of an impact anxiety can take on your energy levels? I'm really anxious at the moment (I've suffered with it for 10 years) but due to a health scare its become uncontrolable.
The thing is im shattered, especially after about 5pm. I can't even get out of bed in the mornings. Anyone else find this?

That's what I'm worried about that if I start taking them then its the coming off that I'm worried about.

But thanks for the heads up on which one's to try and avoid. I tried a few vitamins years back but never knew which ones to take for the best, so again thanks :)

I'm thinking of trying one last attempt of getting it back under some sort of control, with the help of your advice with vitamins etc. Will give it a week or two and see how I go then make a final decision as this tiredness is effecting my work.

Thanks again :)

To be honest I'm trying to get off my anxiety meds right now. I'm currently taking Effexor. Whatever you do never take Effexor or Cymbalta because those two have the WORST withdrawals out of all the medications out there. It's literally hell to stop taking them.
The Effexor I think has helped me, but I want to see how I am without the anxiety medications and try more natural remedies.

Have you tried taking Vitamins or supplements? There are lots that help with moods, depression, anxiety, or just all around mental well being.
Vitamin B Stress complex is a good one to take. Minerals such as magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and copper are also good for brain chemistry. I believe there are other things out there for anxiety, just spend a few minutes in the vitamin isle and you will find lots of interesting things. Do a little research on it and see what has really worked for others.

Also don't forget to get sunshine every day! It is crucial for nutrient/vitamin metabolism. It also helps brighten your mood.

I hope all of this helps at least a little bit. I know anxiety is no fun!!

Hi, thanks for your reply :)
I'm glad in a way that it could be anxiety making be tired coz at least id know what it is "better the devil you know..."
I've tried meditation which did work in the short term but i noticed a couple of hours after meditation id be back to an anxious state. I've not tried hypnotherapy but that sounds like an option!
I'm not on any meds and not tried any as I've always felt i had some element of control over my anxiety, but now i feel like I've lost control to it completely. Are meds helpful would you say?

YUP! Story of my life! Anxiety ***** everything out of you. You're mind is always racing and your brain and body are constantly going in to panic mode and it is exhausting. Try meditation or hypnotherapy either in the mornings or at night before bed, depending on what works best for you. Some light exercise a few times a week should help as well.

Are you currently taking any medications for anxiety?
