That does seem a little high. Mine put me on 50mgs max but to start out taking half a tablet for a week. I'm on Cymbalta (SNRI).
I find that one tablet knocks me right out and makes me drowsy the next day as well. I had to cut it back to the 25mgs again. Ask your doctor why it's so high and if you can try a low dose first...

Wow, your situation sounds eerily like mine. I'm a 28 year old male and my doc just put me on trazadone for insomnia 4 days ago. 150mg's does seem high, he put me on 50mg's about an hour or so before bed time and it's worked like a charm so far. I haven't felt this refreshed in years. I'm able to concentrate at work and I don't feel worn out all the time. I've also been on celexa for about 3 weeks now which seems to be having a positive effect as well... although I think controlling the insomnia will have a domino effect on my anxiety. When I took trazadone for insomnia my Dr. only prescribed 20 mgs. and I that did the trick. I would recheck with your Dr.just to make sure the right dose was communicated.Good luck and keep in touch.
