i did that very same thing on effexor xr 75 mg i tried the 150's they were too strong for me i am not taking zoloft 25 mg starting tomorrow and my effexor xr for 1 month due to withdrawls then after the month im to stop and just take zoloft i slept like you on effexor and i had no energy or motivacation or anything alls i did was sleep and i got very depressed over this im hoping the zoloft works i know several people on zoloft and it wirks great for them.hope that helps pm me anytime about the effexor i hate that drug and i couldnt take paxil either .so im trying to get the right medication too and i have panic disorder too with depression and the fear .
I was like that on Paxil. I was always tired, and was constantly yawning. Effexor has the opposite effect on me. Since you've had this problem since you were a teenager, it's probably not the Effexor that's doing it. Have you talked to your doctor about it? How long have you been on the Effexor? Maybe it's depression related?
yeah, I think there's something with my body--I'm going to a new doc on the 19th--maybe it's something like chronic fatigue or something?? Thanks for the response!
Thats exactly what I was thinking. It sounds to me like chronic fatigue. Do you experience pain anywhere on a daily basis? If so maybe you should google fibromyalgia. I have both fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue so I know what you are going through. I can sleep 15 hours a day and wake up and still be worn out and tired like I have just been hit by a mac truck. Dont get me wrong, I like to sleep, but that many hours is a little excessive. I hate not having any energy. I do know there is a drug for chronic pain patients to help them stay alert. I can not think of hte name but I know it starts with a P. provigil maybe?? I dunno if thats it or not. Please let us know what you find out on the 19th. Till then, take care.
Yes, my dad's on prvigil (I don't think that's how it's spelled, but I have no idea). He has MS and is always tired, that stuff has helped him a lot. They use it for narclepsy!
provigil, ok maybe that is the name of it, i know it starts with a p though. I thought about trying it. Does it help him out alot? thanks for the input.
