Wellbutrin is an energizing antidepressant that can increase anxiety and actually cause panic attacks in some people.  Pristiq is approved for depression, but may also help with panic disorder and anxiety.  Paxil (paroxetine) is approved for panic, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety disorder

Wellbutrin made me horribly agitated all the time.  OMG!  I hated it!  Paxil worked, but I hated the sexual side effects, like most SSRI's.   Buspar is a drug approved for anxiety, without the sexual side effects.  It is an older drug, been around longer than the SSRI's
