BLEH!!!!!!! I am just so sick of it.
I remember I had really bad panic attacks back when I was 17 and I was put on Zoloft BUT I had suicidal thoughts and insomnia so my dr urged me not to take it. Sometimes I take Xanax but it seems like after I come off it I feel 10 times worse!!! all it does is put me to sleep.
I think I will go to a family dr once I get money. I know that today I have been chanting to myself, "IT IS ONLY A PANIC ATTACK" and the symptoms vanish or if I feel like I am getting one. they seem to happen around the same time everyday, around the same time I had a real bad attack last monday. But I am trying to fight this on my own.
Hello again May,
I know it can be very frustrating and i can relate to you, i have been having awful symptoms for 5 months 24/7. Have you seen a ENT to rule out infection or maybe allergies? It could be anxiety and something else that's why i suggest you do some test.
It would be important too to consult a therapist maybe you have a mild depression due to all this and it could help your anxiety.
As i probably said to you in my previous post there are many ways to treat this condition but first make sure you dont have any infections in you ears. Ears can be responsible to the dizziness you are experiencing. If you look up ear's anatomy you see it is responsible for most part of you balance.
Balance, or one' s sense of equilibrium, is controlled through the vestibular system that is also contained in the inner ear. The vestibular organs share the temporal bone space with the cochlea. These organs also share the same fluid that is in the cochlea.
So it is my opinion that you go see a ENT or at least consult a doctor that will refer you to a proper ENT.
Hope this helps understanding your condition.
Best regards,
M4
Anxiety can be really hard to understand, especially in the beginning. In my opinion, it is scary, confusing, and causes us to lose our self identity. In my experience what you are describing is 'classic' health anxiety...we all experience it in our own way, but we become so hypersensitive to ANY feeling we deem outside the 'norm.' For example, I used to worry about heart health and would feel every little palpatation, pain, twinge in my chest. If it wasn't that then I would feel pain in my left arm, jaw, etc...did I have these pains before I was worried? Probably, but I interpreted them differently when I was perpetually worried about them. In my experience, we tend to become oversensitized to any and every feeling we have throughout our bodies. For me, learning to confront it through talk therapy did wonders for understanding it. You are definately not going crazy...anxiety can be really difficult to deal with.
