Water

Has anyone had any luck with water helping with anxiety symptoms?  I know for a fact that I don't drink nearly as much water as I should (barely any actually).  I've read about all the symptoms dehydration can cause, so I've decided to dramatically increase my water intake and see if I feel any better....just something I decided to try and was wondering if anyone else had experiences or have heard of the benefits of water on anxiety?

I was just diagnosed with Anxiety/panic attacks and i NEVER drank water. I would only drink soda or chocolate milk. I was really bad about it. I probally went years without water. When i was in Urgent care last week, i was having a BAD panic attack, and they gave me water. I thought i was going to throw up because i hated water. I drank it and i started to feel calm, but not really to much. Every since, i went to the Urgent care, i have drank tons of water and i have been able to go places, although i still have the " slight" panic attacks, but it has helped so much. Now i havent drank anything elce but water. It hasnt " cured" me but it has helped relax me somehow.

Wouldn't that be nice, trust me, is water cured anxiety, I would invest in Poland Spring!

It really does help though, anything you can do to make your body healthy will be a step in the right direction.

Haha, I guess I was hoping you'd say...I drink a ton of water, and now I'm completely anxiety free!  Lol, still looking for that miracle cure I guess....

Thanks for the input, I figure even if it doesn't help with the anxiety, drinking more water can only be a good thing anyway.

I know hydration is good for everyone, even those of us without anxiety. I know I drink a ton of water, and still have anxiety, but everything helps.

What I do know is that ice cold water helps me a ton when I am feeling anxious, it somehow minimizes that lump in the throat feeling. When I start to feel nervous, I drink a lot of water.

Take Care!
