Weaning from Klonopin

by herman1964, Oct 22, 2009 11:19AM
Is Buspar a good choice to wean from Klonopin? I have been on it for 12 years (1mg twice daily) and need to wean from it so I can more easily pass physical exam for work and other things. I am familiar with the withdrawl symptoms but at the same time, need to keep the anxiety under control.

Buspar alone worked great when the symptoms first appeared during a divorce (10mg three times daily) but it seemed to have lost it's effectiveness over time. Is it possible that it might work again?

Any suggestions to rid myself of this med with something that won't give me trouble when I go to take a physical?
