Weird feelings.

I'm a 17 year old male.
About a month ago, at about 2 AM, while I was sitting in front of the computer, my heart pounded once, after which I felt this hot feeling bursting out of my chest toward my arms and head, then I got very dizzy. At the moment I though I had had a heart attack. The weird feeling went away, but later on, I felt the heat sensation again, with no dizzyness or palpitations this time. I felt rather strange and anxious for a few days( shortness of breath and a few other mild attacks ). Then I went to see a doctor. I went straight to the ER and a doctor told me that it was a vegetative response to stress and tiredness. I agreed because i used to go to bed at 2-4 AM. They also took my blood pressure, I had an ECG test and they didn't find anything strange. I took some vitamins, magnesium and other things for a while and for a month or so i've felt anxious and i've had mild panic attacks.

What concerns me is that I have a weird heavy feeling in my chest sometimes, usually in the evening. I also have a wierd, tingling sensasion of some sort, near the heart, as if it's constantly pumping blood, with no pulsation. I know there is one type of tingling sensation, which is normal to anxiety, the one that makes me want to cough, it's not that one, and i don't feel it in my throat. Also, I sometimes, almost involuntarily think that i'm having a stroke, usually because of sensasions I have on my scalp, like itches, which is stupid, I know. But when this happens, I usually control it before developing into a panick attack. But the weird thing is that, probably because I know that limbs can go numb during strokes, I almost feel them go numb, but after I move around a little the feelings go away. I also have mild, almost unnoticeable chest pains sometimes, for a little while, usually accompanied by the heavy feeling. And, although rarely, when i exercise sometimes, I have another chest pain, this time in the right side of my chest which seems to go away sometimes if I exercise harder, or if I rest.

About 1 or 2 years ago, a cardiologist said i have Tachycardia. But my pulse is usually around 60-70, although I can only catch a few beats at that rate as i get a bit anxious when i measure my pulse, and it rises up to 80 - 90. When he consulted me, he said everything else is perfectly in shape, and that i have a perfectly healthy heart, beside that problem.

When I exercise, I feel my heart, the carotid arteries and the back of my head pounding, and my pulse reaches a peak of about 18 beats during more intensive exercise, which i think is a bit high.
Sometimes when I get up i get dizzy and a feeling of lightheadedness. It doesn't happen while I'm anxious though, in other words, while my heart rate is higher.

Although i've been consulted by a doctor and i've asked the opinions of one other doctor and another healthcare specialist which said I'm perfectly ok, i'm still very paranoic and I sometimes have panick attacks, and anxiety almost all day long.

Hey I know it's been almost 5 years since this post, but I was wondering how you are doing now?  On New Years Eve, I had what felt like a heart attack, warm tingeling sensation throughout my body and it felt hard to breathe, my daughter called 911, but they found nothing.  It scared me to death!  After reading all of these posts, I am convinced now that it was indeed a panic attack.

You are very welcome, I am just glad that it managed to calm you down a little. I am sure that you will be all right hun, and that it is nothing more serious than anxiety.

Next you got to try and work on controlling your anxiety and your panic, after that you won't feel as scared as you do now, which I hope will pass in time for you.

Take care

Thank you very much for all the information sunset.
I feel a bit better now that I know my symptoms are normal anxiety ones.
I really though I was going mad as well, as I woke up from a dream in an intense panick attack, or because I sometimes saw flashes of horrifying things or heard things which triggered these attacks just before going to bed. I'll try to relax and hopefully I'll be able to calm them down.

Wow, the information Sunset gave is unbelievable! Thank you for sharing all this. I wanted to add that like you I was "checking things" before I had my first anxiety attack about 3 weeks ago. Finally the obsessing about things became real. I thought it was psychosamatic (maybe it was, don't know), but then the attacks seemed more like real panic attacks. I can set them off with the way I think. If I start thinking about my fears, my problems, I will have an attack or feel like one is coming on. Today, I felt a lot of anxiety this morning. It is a feeling in my chest that I can't calm down, I need to do something, running all over the house. I drank 2 cups of chamomile tea, and wow!  It has a sedative like effect on you. I felt fine and calm the whole rest of the day. I just wanted to say, that for me, the more I obsess, the worse the anxiety and the attacks are. I am trying to find natural remedies to overcome this condition, as I don't like to take medicine. I have read that attacks feed off of fear, so the more you fear it, the more attacks or the worse they will be.

Thank you for the reply. The main thing i wanted to know is wether there is something wrong with my body or if this is pure anxiety. I got worried because of that feeling that the blood is flowing from my heart as a continuous stream, to explain it better. But if these are all anxiety symptoms, and if those are panick attacks, even though I've absolutely no reason to feel better about it, at least I'll know there's nothing wrong with my body. That'll help with the anxiety as well, i think.

Sorry you aren't getting any responses to your post.  I'll answer with something, although it may not be what you're looking for! : )
It does sound like you are having panic attacks and anxiety issues.  Panic attacks can come ouf of nowhere, anxiety can be a lingering all-day thing.  I know, because I have suffered from both my entire life.
One thing that caught my attention about your post is the symptoms you have when you are having these problems, and that you seem to really keep track of your heart rate.  I have the same problems you have when I am anxious or having (or about to have) a panic attack as well, which is what is leading me to think it is anxiety related for you as well.
I'm not one to tell you what to do for it at the moment, because I still have not been able to get mine under control.  I do know that sometimes trying to relax and breathe evenly helps me fight off some of it.  I take an anti-anxiety medication for "emergencies" that I take when I feel like I'm not going to be able to fight it off.  I also take b-complex, omega 3, and a good multivitamin, which I really do think have helped a little bit.
I wish you the best of luck, and I would see a doctor about the panic attacks and anxiety rather than trying to focus on physical ailments.  They might be able to help you get these under control.

Also, I want to mention that there is anxiety history in my family. As far as I know, my mom and my grandma have had severe anxiety problems.
