Weird symptoms leading to panic?

Sometimes, I can get very scary symptoms such as numbness in one side of my head (mostly the left), pressure in the left side of my head (sometimes both sides). It only seems to happen when Im alone without friends, in a public place like a shop, or when I am stressed out, which makes me think it is anxiety. Also, I i get "minor" things like crawling feelings in the side of my head and twitches which immedately seem to make me think of death and begin to panic. I get the feeling as if i need to be immediately outside, or i need to be constanly moving around and attempting to get the help of others to deal with my symptoms. Some of these episodes can last just a few seconds, where as other have been known to last quite a long time - like half an hour! The pressure is not always on one side, and can vary between the left, right and centre of my head, and the twitching is random, but they all seem to stop and more or less go away once im with friends having fun or doing something of interest, apart from one symptom, which is numbness accross my chest - this only seems to happen weirdly when im in the bath, shower or when i go swimming for some reason.

Are my symptoms purely anxiety? I have been to a neurologist who seems to think that they are, she said that she does not think that I have a brain tumor because otherwise, the numbness and other symptoms would only be on one side of my body, which they are not, they can affect both.

What your describing does sound like anxiety and panic attacks. These symptoms go away when your with friends. If it were something else the symptoms would not go away whether you were by yourself or with friends. I have no idea why your having the numbness across your chest. Your Dr needs you find out what's causing that. Take care. Remar
