Here's my dilemna and you know a litte about my situation from previous posts:
I have been on zoloft for 5 weeks
I have been on valium for 3 weeks at 10mg-12.5mg per day after coming off klonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer .5mg 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks.
My concerns with #1 is paxil is very stimulating but in the past I've had great luck with it controlling ocd symptoms but have noticed that it is quite stimulating and I become agitated and more angry on it and that is the only thing that is keeping me considering contiuning the zoloft in that it may not be as stimlating or agitating manic symptoms.. If I do decide to swtich to paxil do you recommend a morning and nightly dose since it is short acting?
My concern with #2 is that the switching from the valium to the klonopin willl throw me all out of whack since it will be another change within the last 2 months of swapping between the 2 and how to effectively go from valium to klonopin.I am conercned on how to properly discontinue valium and go to the klonopin. Can I just switch right over?
I am leading towards just going back to paxil and continue with the valium but I may have good luck with the zoloft and klonopin combination and I feel may regret the change but am not looking forward to switching from valium to konopin. I've never taken zoloft before and have taken paxil quite a few times for several years at a time on both klonopin and valium.
I just feel aweful with the zoloft/valium combination but if I switch to klonopin on the zoloft I am not sure if this will make me feel any better.
I am in a complete tailspin and have switched my meds so much over the last few months and need to stabilize on something but I have to do something soon if not right away because I am feeling aweful on the zoloft/valium combination
So, in your opinoin would you:
1) Stay with valium and switch to paxil and dose the paxil morning and night to possibly reduce side effects because it's so short acting
2) Stay with zoloft and switch to klonopin and give the klonopin/zoloft combination about a month to work to see if I feel much better than with the zoloft/valium combo and if that doesn't work then I can go to paxil with the klonopin and if that doesn't work then I can then switch the klonopin to valium that would ultimately put me in situation #1.
3) Switch to both paxil and klonopin?
I can't do much more research and hoping you have some insight on the best course of action to help me make my decision. If you do recommend staying with zoloft and going with klonopin then can I switch right over or do I need to taper my valium dose slowly? I really need help with this. Thank you. Your a big help on this board.
