This is something you will need to discuss with your doctor. We are not doctors here and cannot advise you to take a particular med. I can tell you that there are some good ones out there, but there are also some bad ones. Which is totally MY opinion.
You need to talk to your doctor about whether or not you need to be on them every day or prn. (AS NEEDED) If you BOTH decide that a daily med would be the most beneficial for you, then a very serious discussion must follow. There are good long term and short term benzos on the market. But you need to be aware that nearly every single benzo out there will require that you taper off it slowly when you and your doctor decide it's time to stop. If he/she tells you that you can just stop taking them, I strongly urge you to find another doctor who really understands benzos. Sadly, most PCP's don't have a clue and they end up leaving us in a sort of mental hell.
I would also recommend that you spend some time reading posts here and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.
Also, depending on how severe these anxiety attacks are, there are some good natural alternatives that might work for you. I am not educated enough in this category to give you any advice. Talking to a good Naturopath is highly recommended.
And lastly, you need to know that any medication you take for anxiety is only going to mask the symptoms. They are not going to cure the anxiety. For that you will need to get into some therapy to deal with the root cause of the anxiety.
Well, I didn't give you a "straight" answer to your question, because I can't, and I gave you a lot to think about.
Please feel free to post again if you have further questions or if I have confused you, which I'm really good at! LOL
Peace
