Why does everything seem to be going so fast?

I have been having this problem since I was 5 where everything seemed to be moving really fast and I would get really worried. I used to describe these experiences as "Stormy waters" because as a kid I would have a dream of a boat in the ocean sailing really really calmly. The water was perfectly smooth and everything was amazing, but then it would start to storm and the water would become rough and everything would start to move unbelievably fast. I would always get scared out of my mind. It was a recurring dream that I still get from time to time. Today I had an experience that actually kinda frightened me. I went to pee, take out the trash, and grab a soda. Usually those tasks would have taken me 3-5 minutes, but this time it took me under a minute. The whole time I was doing these tasks I never felt as if I was rushing at all. I honestly can not wrap my head around it and don't understand. I knew that it was only a minute or less because I looked at a clock before and after these tasks because I was anxious to watch a tv show at a specific time. Is there any explanation for this?
