Will Anxiety cause depression

Hi Im just wondering can anxiety cause a depression and if it gets undercontrol will the depression lessen aslo will benzos cause depression if not on a really high dose i have treid klonopin in the past and felt it depresed me but this time im only on 0.5 mg two time s aday and im hoping it will help me,on ativan as neeeded after my dr had switcehd e from it to xanx for ove r amonts stoped the xanx on dec 31 and back on ativan jan 1 and klonopin jan 2 may have to go into hospital hoping the klonopin does the trick aslo since back on ativan having burning face cheeks any ideas

I always tell everyone, if they are going to have to takes a benzo, to take Klonopin because it really is a wonderful medicine when taken right.
Yes it can cause Depression unfortunately "all benzos can, but Klonopin is higher"
Because it lowers the serotonin, thats why usually people prescribed Kpin, are given a good SSRI or SNRI, or something that induces serotonin to replenish to effect.
