Hi everyone. I've been suffering from anxiety for the past year and I've had a lot of symptoms associated with MS. I'm wondering if any of you experience burnin sensations and cold sensations on your skin? Mine has mostly been cold sensations. It feels like a cold wet patch. Sometimes it on my scalp, calf or ankle. I'm terrified it might be MS as I also get tingles, muscle spasms and body zaps.
Those of us here know quite a lot about anxiety and we can understand your fear about MS. Unfortunately, most of us don't know enough about MS to really give you the help you're seeking. We'll always be here for your anxiety issues.
A very large percentage of people with anxiety have been tested for MS. There are a lot of similar sensations with both illnesses. My doctor originally was convinced that my symptoms were not related to anxiety and may be MS. This is the best approach. If you think that you may have MS, tell your doctor. If your symptoms fit the profile then he can begin testing to rule it out. Always rule out the possible physical causes first. As it usually ends up, it is anxiety. Better to know for sure. At least you can cross that off your list of things that make you anxious!
