Worried about my head hurting

So a week and a half ago I noticed that a small spot on my head was sore, like I had a bruise or hit my head. I don't remember ever hitting my head. My husband checked it and did not see anything. I still have it and I feel it the most when I am laying my head down on a solid surface. I have been poking around a lot daily (because I have health anxiety, I become obsessive over it). I'm sure the touching it is not helping it heal. I have noticed that it feels like it is raised in a small line shape. So weird. I grind my teeth really bad at night (maybe this has something to do with this?). I'm not sure if I should see the doctor (I'm 27 years old, no major medical history). Any thoughts? I would love to stop worrying about this daily- it's driving my hubby nuts!

hm.  I'm not sure.  But we do have a lot of muscles in our head and things that attach.  I have a spot that is up high but behind my ear and that can hurt like someone is in there with a wrench pinching it.  I have been seen for a doctor about it and it is actually where to things attach, but I have a neck injury that when it stiffens up, it pulls on the area where the two things attach and makes it hurt.  Feels like a bruise, if you will.  So, not sure what is going on with you but other areas around such as neck and back all intertwine with muscles that run up into the head and they can get tight.  My doctor had me put an ice pack on the place in my head briefly.  Doesn't feel great at the time but relaxes.  As does ibuprofen.  Massage is fantastic.  Those are things to try.  I would not be concerned about something serious. If working on it this way for a bit does not relieve it, see your doctor.  But if anxiety is making you fear big dramatic things, then do see your doctor for help with the anxiety.  good luck

Self-diagnosis is generally incorrect. Without any medical background it is not surprising that you are not able to figure what is sore, and since no one can diagnose you from here that leaves your doctor or dentist (you didn't say where it is so perhaps it is TMJ related) as the go to person.

You are poking it for some reason and making it more sore but will never be able to diagnose it so your only option is to leave it alone and then see if it goes away or if you are still worried then see someone capable of diagnosing.
