XANAX WITHDRAWAL help! should i go to hospital?
so for the past 5 months i have been on xanax i started at .25 then he moved me to 1.0 but i was taking them 3 times a day (as he stated to) i also drink quite a bit. anyway with that said someone stole my xanax bottle with all my xanax i found like 3 on the floor and been trying to take them when i feel the worst i think i can feel before i try to take one. my symtoms are stomach cramps/pain, dizzyness, dry mouth, feel thirsty all the time and sweaty palms. how do i know if my symptoms are bad enough to go to the ER?
god it only gets worse doesn't it? starting to see stuff in my eyes or at least i think i am... and feeling real faint this *****... i want out.
god i honestly think this is the worst feeling ever far worse then my original anxiety and i think im going to ask my doctor to get me off this and switch me to something else..
but i have no abuse with pills!!! but i thank you for your reply aswell. i just wanted to make sure it wasn't fatal till i get my pills. and YES they we're REALLY stolen. but yes thank you all for your support. just 2 more days left now. well almost.. and the meds don't make it worse. they make it whole lot better. just when im off them its awfull. i wonder if this is how i felt before i started taking them in the first place... idk anymore like i said. and im quitting drinking. thats on my own terms and reasons for though. (just don't like it anymore)
it seem that ur having anxity bc ur freaking out that ur quick fix is not there .,.. i was also place on .25 and then my anzxity got really bad and always went to the er thinkING something eles was wrong my my doc told me well i can keep giving u meds but u need councleing ... ive yet to get that bc im broke but wen they told me all the side effects i stop talking med and have not took any since .. it seems like the meds is making u wrose ... STOP TAKING THEM AND CHILL OUT PRAY TO GOD ... RELAX THAT TEND TO HELP I NO ITS NOT EASY BUT THE MORE U THINK ABOUT THE MEDS AND U KNW ITS ANZIXTY UR GOING TO MAKE UR SELF CRAZY .... SAY NO TO THE MEDS AND GO TO SLEEP AND RELAX THE ER WILL DO NOTHING FOR U WITH ALL THE ABUSE OF PILLS PERIOD...
i appreciate your reply and thank you for your honesty and i am relieved that my dosage was not fatal. i really did get them stolen and it wasnt a full bottle it was just a week before my original refill date. i actually would of had more left then i needed if it wasn't stolen. i was taking 2-3 a day not 3 like stated on the bottle. also the first time my doctor didn't even call in for a refill. i was left dry 2x now but last time wasn't this bad because i was only on .25's when it happened. so as you can imagine these new symtoms really scared me. i feel like im fainting and weak. but i guess you pretty much answered my question so thank you its not fatal. also id like to say the truth that i always took the xanax as directed. im not a addict. my life has been rough since i got my first PVC. anxiety and massive panic attacks all teh time wich stopped me from going to work and other things "normal" people did. the xanax really helps and i am thankfull for it. but now im scared of it.. what if this happens again? and im on a higher dose? should i go to a different drug? or just try to make sure this never does happen? im just at a loss of words at how bad my anxiety is right now... its worse then it was before i started taking them 9x at least. idk what to do anymore -,-
If you are sweating, shaking, and throwing up white foam any time you eat or drink, you may want to go to an Urgent Care Clinic. You are experiencing some withdrawal symptoms from going cold turkey off the Xanax, but you were not on a dose high enough to be concerned about seizures, which would have already happened.
The Urgent Care Clinic may give you enough pills to get you through until you can get a refill, if, as you say, that was only about 4 days.
I've got a little wake up call for, though. I work in a hospital and we see this all too often. You called your doctor at some point and told him that......."someone stole my xanax bottle with all my xanax."
Well, that can definitely happen and I'll assume you're doctor called in a refill for you.
Recently you called him again, but THIS time they were "lost."
That's some pretty bad luck you're having with your Xanax scripts. But ya know why he isn't going to call in any more for you until the exact due date? Because doctors aren't stupid and your stories of the stolen and lost Xanax are THE MOST LAME AND THE MOST COMMON fabrications of drug seekers everywhere. I'd bet you a busload of money that written at the very top of your chart, in bright red are the two letters "DS." I think you can figure out wha they stand for.
One other thing you've written here that makes me very sad is "i also drink quite a bit."
Do you have any idea how hot the fire is you're playing with?
A few years ago this forum lost someone we all loved and cared about deeply. She got drunk and took too many Xanax.

i still dont know how to find the edit button sorry for the double post since im panicking its a little hard to try to look for it.. anyway im pretty much sweating pretty bad and cant sleep like my head/hands/feet are all drenched same with my chest. and i feel like i need to constantly drink but it makes me vomit...
No this exact thing happened before but they were lost that time. and he said he can not under the laws of "illinois" give me anymore meds untill the time has passed or someshit(sorry for the language) i heard alcohol can actually help? im not sure either way i know now if i eat more then like 4 bites of food i throw up white foam? or at least it looks like foam... and yes. now i have ran out of the 3 i found on my floor that i was splitting into 3's ... i have now started shaking too. like my hands and head/neck when i turn it. i have 3 days left now and just freaking out.. i also used to take ativan? adivan? something like that a year before this.
Sometimes these forums are pretty quiet on Saturday nights. Are you completely of your meds at the moment? 4 days might be a long time to wait. Does your Dr have an emergency number where you can contact him? He/she might be able to call in enough for you to make it through until you can get your refill.
