Zoloft ear ringing even after getting off it

I have OCD and two weeks ago my doctor prescribed Zoloft as well as CBT therapy. I took the medication for 3 days and I had really bad side effects so I stopped taking them assuming that it wouldn't cause any side effects since I only took it for 3 days. While I was on it, I had ear ringing and now that I stopped, which has been a week, I still have insane ear ringing which is driving me crazy. I have an appointment in about 3 weeks, meanwhile I'd like to know if this is a side effect and will it go away or is the tinnitus going to be permanent?

I've never had this before but then again I thought the same thing it couldn't do that after only 3 days on Zoloft. It actually only started the second day I took it. On the other hand, It went down a bit, the ringing is still there but It gets mild ever day. One thing I know, is that I am never taking Zoloft again.
Thanks !

Who knows?  Lexapro is known to cause jaw clenching; I found out when my ears kept feeling stuffed and I finally saw an ENT who told me it was from jaw clenching.  So who knows what Zoloft can do to any particular person?  On the other hand, after just three days, it isn't causing it anymore, and if you still have it, it's more likely your anxiety is holding on to it -- conditioned thinking is what plagues us anxiety sufferers.  Work on this with your CBT person and see if it helps.

I don't think that Zoloft can cause this and you were only on it for three days, so you really should not have any withdrawal effects. Have you ever had this before?  I sometimes have sinus infections and my ears sometimes ring....keep us posted!
