HAHAHAHAHAH you are absolutely HILARIOUS and your take on the situation is perfect advice!!! (not meaning to joke about your comment, but you could be a comedian, you are a really funny person), I was greatly amused with what you said. That is how everyone should treat life honestly. You have a wonderful take on how to not care what people think, and make the absolute best out of the situation. I think everyone should follow your advice =) So thank you as well!
Theres nothing wrong with wearing pants and stuff in the summer. They need to back off. I wouldn't let that bother you. It's normal to wear that. I think if you are comfortable in it then wear it. Forget what other people say about it. If they are downing it then they have a problem not you. You should feel free to wear what you want.
I prefer to wear long pants and I get told I must be a Butch Lesbian, coz I rarely wear dresses or skirts. Originally it got to me then I thought, What am I worrying about them worrying about me for? Sure people will pick on other people being different. Just use humour to get through to them to mind their own business. I tell people, "Well, you see I have this really contagious disease and if I wear shorts or a skirt you might get it too, and I really worry that might happen so I protect everyone else by wearing long pants" Or my other favourite, "I am part vampire and if my legs see daylight I die" Most people get the hint to EFF off and stop being so nosy and let me alone!
Sounds normal to me. I wear pants year long and short/long sleeves--even the summer I was pregnant. I'm just not comfortable in shorts or skimpy shirts. (I don't like showing much skin) Just wearing those clothes doesn't mean anything is wrong. It means it's what you prefer. Just tell them to leave you alone, and that you're fine.
If you are comfortable in pants and a jacket in the summer than wear it! If you don't get too hot, and find this something that you like to wear, than that is your choice, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I know how hard it is to not care what people think sometimes, especially people that you are close to, but sometimes you just have to follow your own path and not care. I used to love to get really dressed up everywhere I went because I loved fashion. People would stare a lot, and I am sure people found it odd, but I just didn't care. I realized that I liked being different. Because being normal is boring lol. So embrace that you are different. It's not a bad thing!
