alprazolam and mirena

Hi, my name is Marta, I'm 35, I have 2 kids and for couple of months I experience strange sympoms: distented, painful veins in my arms, feeling "of tabasco sauce in veins", heart palpitations, lightheadedness, stifness in back of my head, sudden anxiety,  "lump" in my throat, sometimes pressure in my ears. I saw my physician 3 times, first he put me on alprazolam 0.5mg/ 3 times daily,saying it's anxiety and panic, but every day I'm feeling worse and worse: lack of energy, week, I think I"m going to faint, but I'm not, the heart starts pounding, I feel like dying. I have Mirena put 2.5 years ago, may those symptoms be associated w/ Mirena, I didn't have my period for that time. I think I am going crazy, I can't live my normal life anymore. Please help, I have appt to have IUD removed, can hormone mess up the body that much?

You might go over to the forum on women's health and ask this question, too. Unfortunately, I know nothing about Mirena, but you should also ask your physician who put this in if these symptoms have been reported.
The alprazolam can take away your energy and also cause dizziness, so if it's not helping you, let your Dr. know right away.
Do not stop taking it without getting your Dr.'s input and assistance. Benzo's like alprazolam can not be stopped abruptly, but weaned down slowly, with your Dr.'s guidance and schedule.
