always looking back in anger!

Hey guys!                                                                                                                                                    I need help! After what seems to be a lifetime I'm lucky enough to be comming off my citalopram! Yey!! I was on 40for a year and I'm now down to 10! Its been goin ok so far as I knew I was going to sufer some side effects (dizzyness, nausea, shaking, brain shivers etc!) I've delt with these the best I could have but the 1 thing that's causing me concern is how angry iam! I'm irritated easily and I get so angry over nothing! I'm not an angry person so I'm really upset that I keep snapping or growling as I've been told! Has anyone else suffered from this and is it normal? I dnt wanna be a grump! Any help or advise will be greatly received! Jem x

Hi there!  What you're experiencing is normal when coming off these kinds of meds.  These mood swings and anger should start to resolve as you come off the med.  It may take some time and require some patience.  Couple things that may help is to stay busy and occupy your time, try to get out and get some exercise, even if just a brisk walk once or twice a day, that will do wonders for the way you feel.  If you continue to feel this way, or it worsens, definitely speak with your doctor about it.

Hang in there!
