anexity symptoms

Just wondering I have been dealing with anexity for about 6 months now and it seems as if  I can find little relief from my 24-7 symptoms. My doctor put me on xanax and lexapro. Xanax works a little I believe but the Lexapro does nothing to my knowledge. I am just wondering if these few symptoms are symptoms of anexity or something else? The first thing that I noticed that something was wrong was when I was overwelmed with confusion (1) Could not concentrate and was confused with what was going on. Somewhat felt like I was under the influence of drugs. Not only that I started to act different around people. I used to keep to myself but now I just blurt out whatever is on my mind (2). Another thing is I am always tired even if I get alot of sleep (3). Another thing with sleeping is that once I hit the bed I am out, and there is no waking me I used to be a really good morning person but it really seems now that it takes me almost an hour to crawl out of bed. Another symptoms is I dont feel like myself I feel as if I just see things happen and I really cant understand it (4) These are my main symptoms that are really bothering me now even more because school is going to start up again and I need my concentration back. Please let me know what everyone thinks? Thanks. Thomas

I can absolutely relate to that feeling of being under the influence of drugs, Tom. It's like a spacey, lightheaded feeling I've been experiencing for eight months now. I've concluded after comprehensive medical examinations that I have an anxiety disorder. In time, I became so stressed with my symptoms, that I became depressed. You mentioned that you suffer from a lack of energy and, although you used to be a morning person, you're having trouble getting out of bed now. I've experienced that too. Anxiety and depression can sometimes go hand in hand. Many times, anxiety can lead to depression, as it did in my case. Everything you mentioned can be attributed to stress or anxiety. It's always important to cover the medical bases first. Maybe have some bloodwork done or have a checkup with your doctor. If everything looks alright, then maybe consider seeing a therapist once a week. It's done wonders for me, having someone to talk to about it. And if your meds aren't working as well as you'd like them too, stay in touch with your psychiatrist about that. I've just started taking celexa, and so far, it's really helped my energy level, along with exercise, a good diet, and staying active. Good luck.

Yes I understand that, but my real question is are those symptoms of anexity or is it something else? Could it be allergic reactions or something other.

Have you considered (1) changing your diet?  That may be a huge help in strengthening your energy and mood.  (2) Playing games like crossword puzzels helps strengthen the memory,  and (3) have you ever considered seeing a therapist?  This all may help your anxiety.
