anti anxety medications

hello Doc...
Maybe i have odd question,,,but i consider my self as a really obsessive person, mostly with my appearence and my look....
At this moment im doing an intensive treatement with buspirone, im taking 30 mg per day, prescribed my my doctor.....the problem is that im really obsessed how this drugs could possibly make me look older....as tobacco or alchool....
I dont drink or smoke, or use any kind of illegal drugs.....
could you doctor take this odd ideas out of my head.....cause in this moment i really cant calm myself.....or shake this stupid thoughts out off my head-.....

Buspirone will NOT make you look older. Sorry, but I just have to say this.........where the hell did you get a nutty idea like that?

You are taking this med for anxiety, right? If you DON'T take it and walk around for weeks or months or years with what I call the "pinch faced" look of anxiety..........how do you think THAT is going to make you look? THAT is what is going to make you look older.

Look in the mirror while you take your meds!

Dr Lydia. Has a nice ring to it. Medication that makes you look older. Imagine if that came on the market. Younger people would dive on it to look the age for alcohol and smokes. Worry not about your medication. As was said by Dr Lydia, look in the mirror as you take your tablet. You won't see any difference at all. The mirror won't crack or anything like that.

Ah, Dr.Green..........how nice to consult with you on such weighty matters.
I am, currently, writing a most learned paper on the theory that if we all moved to your village in Ireland, met at the local pub every day at 4pm, had a couple pints of Guiness and some giggles, we could all toss our tablets in the sea. (They're probably making us all look old anyways!)

Well, it was just a passing thought as I sat here listening to my skin go "wrink...wrink....wrink......"

Boy, if only I could travel.  Because I think Greenlydia has a point there.  But heck, I can't even get back to California.

Buspirone won't make you look older.  It probably won't work, either, but that's a different story.  Hasn't done too well in studies, but that doesn't seem to stop it from being prescribed.

Have something against reason?  Why take something that has proven not to work?  Waste of money and time, and there are cheaper placebos.  Research the drug, see what the research shows, then come back at me.  We can't let pharmaceutical companies and quack psychiatrists determine what we take -- we have to help one another.  'kay?
