anxiety, period and zoloft

by anxietystinks906, Nov 07, 2009 08:10AM
I've had on/off anxiety for the last couple years 7 days before my period.    Once and awhile it would flare up with stress and last a couple weeks.  Now it' been 2 months with pretty intense anxiety.  My OB suggested I take a low dose of zoloft 2 weeks prior to my period.  Has anyone else used zoloft in this way and did it help?

i am currently on 25mg of zoloft daily. as far as i have been told you are not supposed to go on and off of zoloft over and over. and also zoloft takes at least 3 weeks to give any full effect. i would try getting and staying on zoloft for a period of time to see if that helps you. but i wouldnt do anything before talking to your doctor first.
