I didn't read all the way through everyone post, but I'm a 33 yr old Female married and with a child. I suffer from panic disorder!  My anxiety attacks can very minor to over the top, oh my God i can't breathe feeling! My first sign of a bad one coming on is i get this burning sensation up and down my arms. That follows to a rapid heart rate, shaking, using the restroom a lot, sometimes i will throw up and use the bathroom over and over again! I have tried many antidepressants but I've had a reaction to everyone. So they only medicine i can take is ativan. I don't always use them everyday but when i do, i have to have at least 2mgs or else my anxiety will not be touched!  Its a hard thing to go through while an attack is  happening, you almost feel pending doom! Ive just come to terms that i have to have this medicine to keep me some what normal. Its a awful thing to have to deal with but it can eventually be dealt with!  Best of luck to you all!

I feel as though my anxiety has improved so much, but I do still have some physical symptoms and still have some stress.  I haven't been taking my doctor's advice about exercise either.  I have found that cutting out caffeine has been a big help for me.  And I know how useful ativan and anti-anxiety medication can be.  I'm on a daily dosage of something (cannot remember name) and I'm not sure how I'd actually be feeling if I gave it up.  I just remember that when I was starting out with it I had the scariest dreams ever.

I found I was having terribly bad dreams when I started ativan, or perhaps it was the other anti-anxiety medication (both started the same time).  I'd keep an eye out for that to see if you notice any patterns.  I don't take anything too close to bedtime now.

I take a multi and the B complex. I take the b's for anxiety. MOTAH was on here awhile ago and said it really worked for her, so I wanted to try it. SHe hasnt been on in awhile, so I am thinking it must have really worked for her. I hope it works for you! The key is to take it with food the same time EVERY day. I take it at lunch time- it is the only meal I eat the same time everyday. Let me know how it works for you!

Barbara, I wake up too very nervous and shaky -- every morning.  I have to concentrate on my breathing to calm myself down.  Mornings are just so bad!  I have a nervous stomach too -- I have lost 17lbs now in 2 months.  I have to force myself to eat -- usually a banana in the morning and some fruit at lunch.  Usually in the evening I'm fine and can eat more.  I'm curious why are the mornings so bad?  Do we lose our controls when we sleep?  Or does our subconscious have a part to play in this too?  Let us know what your doctor says, ok?  Shannon

I was just telling my husband this last week. I wake up, (especially after having bad dreams), I feel shaky and a general nervousness, including some heat episodes, and then by dinner time I feel much better. You know I have to be honest- I have been taking the B-Complex that someone suggested on here- for about 1 week now. My stomach troubles have seemed to slowed down. I dont really feel teh overall nervousness like I did before. I dont know, I think it might be working. I havent really had any bad episodes in the last few days. My biggest anxiety is my stomach- I dont know why I concentrate so much on it, but I wont go anywhere without pepto in my purse. I am so proud of myself- it has been 8 days and I havent felt that I needed it!!! This is sooo HUGE for me!! The only advice I can really give you, sometimes it would help when I wake up and know it is not going to be a good day; I start doing stuff right away- I will get up, eat quickly, start cleaning, anything to keep my mind off of it. SOmetimes this will do the trick. Once I start to focus on the negative feelings it only gets worse. Anyway, best of luck to you!!!
