Anxiety can last for years.  It may never go away.  Also same with migraines, which I have also had for years.  We cope as best we can.

I found Zoloft suited me, but I know what suits one person does not necessarily help another.

I was on an anti depressant that took away depression and anxiety, but stopped it last year, and it is all coming back again.  I don't know how to cope now either?  I don't know what you have heard about Zoloft, so does that mean you will not take it?

Difficult to say whether you will ever be your old self again.  I think we just have to do whatever it takes to help ourselves as best we can.  Not easy I know.

Anxiety and depression can take so many forms.  They give us physical and mental problems.  yes, as you say, like dying.  I wish I could give you a quick fix, but we struggle on.  I have tried hard to help myself, but am getting exhausted.

You say you do not want to become dependant on pills, and I can understand that.  I am very reluctant to go back on medication.

Perhaps you may become your old self again.

Take care

I have no idea how to cure anxiety, but migraines can be dealt with.  Meditation has proven to be very useful for this, as has biofeedback.  Ridgecrest Herbals makes a very good supplement for migraines, and there's a homeopathic remedy called Migraide that is helpful as well.  But basically the migraines are coming because something, probably stress but it could be something in your diet, are causing your blood vessels to constrict.  When you relax, they start to open up, but do this first in your head, which is why you get the migraine and the blurred vision.  It's a vascular problem.  They're awful.  You don't have to suffer from anxiety to get them.  And they can be treated.

I am not a doctor but I think that certain problems can be solved with therapy. If I were you I would try to talk to a good therapist. He may be able to help you help yourself without the need of any medicine at all.You should defenately try that! If you allready have a therapist and he can't help you with that maby you should try a new one.

Anxiety can last for a very long time.I had my first anxiety panic attack 6 months ago,I developed a skin condition due to anxiety that will not go away when I stop being anxious.Anxiety can cause lots of symptoms so you have to talk to a psycologist..
