anxiety and skin?

by idkwhy, Sep 10, 2008 08:30PM
I have been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for almost two years. For the last year I had skin problems. The skin on my upper inner thighs is painful. The skin looks normal, but is sticky, especially after shower. The scrotum is also affected. This isn't fungal, but could be related in some way. I just started on anxiety medication and I'm hoping to be able to deal with my problems but this skin problem is bothering me the most.
Thank you

I know people, including myself, who break out in hives because of stress.  Our minds and  bodies are connected and stress manifests itself in so many different ways.  When I went for a job interview awhile ago, I was so stressed out that my face broke out in itchy, red hives and everything was swollen.  I looked like Pumkinhead.  After that, I took an anti-histamine to try to control it - and it made me feel like falling asleep till I found the non-drowsy kind.  Hopefully, the anti-anxiety meds you are taking will help.

Maybe I'll change my nickname to Pumpkinhead  = P
