anxiety meds

i have been recently having axiety attacks  so i think and i when i look for medications for it i see so mny ,my prob is i dont wont to take a med tht has lots of side effect, do to the fact cuz iall i want to do is get rid of the anxiety,and not add other stuff into my life  are they meds out there that can help with  out the side effects or atleast very very minimal effects

i take meds for my anxiety only when needed. i take ativan now and than not often, but i do take klonopin everyday twice a day if my anxiety stays for months, its a great med and when my anxiey gets under control i go back off of it , i will not take a ssri, to many side affects for me and i dont want a med that i have to take for a year and than wean off of, they are great for lots of people just not me. you have to try and see how you do on them . good luck lots of choices out ther am sure between you and dr ya can get you on one if need.
