Great news!  The therapist will help a lot, you'll feel so much better!  Anxiety can cause ALL kinds of strange physical symptoms, you'd be amazed.

Try to keep yourself as busy as possible until your therapy appt, that way you won't overthink this too much.  The less you think about it, the better you will feel.

Let us know how your session goes!

I would have to strongly agree with nursegirl here.  In my opinion, we often can have our fears mirror or relate to something that has personally effected us.  For example, my original source of my anxiety came from concerns about my heart health about a month after my grandfather passed away due to complications from heart bypass surgery.

Anxiety tends to make us fear the worst no matter how small that possibility may be.  For me, counseling was the best approach that I took in confronting this.  Knowledge about your anxiety will help you deal with it and understand it...keep us posted!

Oh my, so sorry to hear about your uncle.  ALS is just a devastating disease.  It sounds like you are having anxiety related to processing this unfortunate news, and that is totally understandable.

I can promise you, at your young age, you don't have ALS.  It's actually a fairly rare disease.  My suggestion to you is to ask your parent(s) to allow you to see a therapist to discuss how you're feeling and learn some coping techniques to help you deal with the anxiety.

Chances are, therapy will help you dramatically, and it's OKAY to need help with this. It sounds like you've been dealing with anxiety for a while, much before your uncle became ill, therefore I think it's time to get some help.  You don't have to feel like this, there is help out there.

Please let us know how you're doing.  We understand what it is like and how hard it is, feel free to come here and share your feelings and ask questions, that helps too!  Hang in there!
