I am obsessed with my heart palpitations.  I get these things every single day and I just can't take them anymore!  I have been to a bunch of heart specialists and they say nothing is wrong and it is my reaction to these things that is what is not normal.

I take 20mg of celexa a day now and have been on it for about 8 weeks and I still can't stop my constant worrying about my heart.  How long does celexa take to really start working before I can stop of worrying and obessing about my heart?  I have been like this for years and I just am in a constant state of panic and worry about this.

Hi,  I am just like you.  I obsess over my heart palpitations.  I have been on paxil, lexapro and ativan and I have been to several therapist....but I still obsess about it.  I hope we soon find an answer to our problems.  I am suppose to go see a new therapist and a new cardiologist in January.

you need to be in therapy as well as on the med. there are some deep seated issues about why you are having this obsession and the therapy will help bring them out . good luck
