If you had been on Zoloft for 6 years and then stopped it, I can only hope that it was under the guidance and surpervision of your doctor. If it was, he should have put you on a very slow taper and if you found yourself having some anxiety issues during the taper, he should have also given you a short acting benzo to help with those symptoms. But the questions is: Now that you are back on the Zoloft and taking 1mg of Xanax, will you go through withdrawls from the Xanax when the Zoloft finally kicks in. In my humble opinion, I would "no." The Zoloft shoud begin to work in just a few weeks, at which point you can taper off the Xanax, which may not even be necessary since you've been on it such a short time. I would still advise you to bring these concerns to your doctor when the comes to stop the Xanax. We all react differently to meds, so there is no way of predicting how you will react to the withdraw of the Xanax. Please try very hard to not get all freaked out about this. Your doctor will help you ( or SHOULD) with any difficulties you are experiencing. If he doesn't, please speak with your local pharmacist who will help you.
Peace
