Sorry to hear you are suffering . I hope I have something useful to offer. I have corresponded with a few people who had good results with the method you mention. It is however just one of several available and the thing they all have in commonCommon cold is that they educate you about whats going on. They help you understand the anxiety panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia process and give you some ideas (tools) to manage it. There's really nothing magical or unknown in any of them. They do give you the resources in one place. I bought a different one and promptly returned it after realizing it is just a collection of organized info that is available on the web or in books. If you decide to use a "system" just pick a reputable one that seems right for you, Im sure you'll see some benefit.
The good news is you can overcome this with a little effort and like you the pills made me worse so i went med free too. I have some links to good info sites in the journal on my profile that may help you as well...Get well take care
I mean you cant just buy a program or take a pill and be cured like some people think . You have to take the time to educate yourself about the problem and the things you need to do to correct it. Then you have to actually USE what you learn. For some execise is a key reducer , for others meditation, diet, adjusting your schedule to get enough sleep, eliminating stressors or counseling...for me it it was a little of all. I have been virtually anxiety free for at least a year and 1/2. I have more stress than when i had panic issues i just have the tools to manage it. You have to make an effort to use these "tools".Everyones "tool kit" will be different your the best gauge for what will work for you.For example if you find that exercise is a great help to you ..you have to go to the gym,or for a run ..effort. Or if its meditation you have to set aside the time ,in a quiet setting and invest the time to meditate..effort. If you have a situation or person that is a considerable stress trigger..you have to solve the problem or distance yourself from the person..again effort. To be honest i am MORE healthy, stable and happy than i was BEFORE i even had panic issues. It really comes down to managing a more balanced life.
