any ideas wot i should do

hi there, i tried many SSRIs for my depression and anxiety,and  they just dont help me,SO im back to taking amitriptyline[which do help] the thing is i have to take them during the day because they give me restless legs at nite,BUT  taking them during the day are making me so tired.   any help there on wot i should do,or ask my doc.    thank you

Hi There, this is pretty scary for me to read because I have just started using amitriptyline (Endep) after nearly killing myself on the SSRI. No matter what happens I will never take these again.  Presently I am on 25mg at night but today I started to increase my dosage by half at 9.00 in the morning and the other half about lunch time.  Like you if they make me dopey I wont want to be using them either.  How much do you take to control your anxiety symptons and does it help you.  I thought I had found the magic potion.  I guess that this just doesnt exist.  I hope somebody else comes up with a suggestion that can help you, to me its all new and I am just finding my way.
