burning skin

Does anyone ever get burning patches on your skin?  Mine feels like razor or brush burn.

I Jenny.  I have had that before.  In my case it was anxiety related.  My hands would sting sometimes and also my feet.

What can I do to help this.  I tried several AD with no help, made everything worse.  Xanax calms it down some though.

I can't take any stimulating ADs either, they all make me worse.  I would take something natural like L-theanine, magnesium, a good multi-vitamin and b-complex.  Also meditation is good for anxiety as well as exercise.  Try to eat a clean diet, free of sugar, caffeine and eat small frequent meals (5 or 6 a day).  

I know alot of people on the board take benzos for anxiety but they are habit forming and you may need to keep increasing the dose to get the same affect if taken regularly.  Taken on occasion is ok though so you don't become dependent on it.

I too get the burned skin feeling, I've always described is as a cross between an electric shock feeling, sunburned, carpet burned feeling.  It happens on random places on my body and sometimes in mirrored locations, like both patches of skin on the insides of my knees.  I experience this when my feet "buzzing" is at it's highest.  I believe it is a side effect in our nervous system to the excess adrenaline in our bodies.  I hope this helps and that you felt well today!

I also get a burning feeling in my leg from time to time...  Along with many other typical symptoms.  This reminds me of how some women are during menopause, so i'm getting my hormones checked out.  I'm desperate, so i'll check anything!

I had the hormone testing done for menopause, everything is normal.
