can ears have different levels of hearing????? help!!!!!!!!!

when i plug one ear and talk it seems to be muffled and if i plug the other it seems muffled but not as much?? is someting wrong?? my ears dont feel really cloggged. i do have lots of ear wax a lot of the time...but idk?? does anyone else have thise?? please help??

Hello there,

Yes this is something completely normal and i doubt there's something wrong and i do experience it too. You could always see a ENT to rule out any medical condition or a simple clogged ear that can be unclogged easily.

Yeah this is normal and probably common, common causes include hearing loss, a build up of ear wax, an ear infection or a perforated ear drum among other things although the last one causes a lot of pain so you'd probably notice.

thanks, yea i think it might be just clogged. and i am sensitive to every little thing b/c im worried soo i think it makes it seem worse!

As we age we get more ear wax, and some people get a lot.  I do.  Go see a nurse and just have them look in your ears; they'll tell you right away if it's clogged, and can irrigate to clean them out if necessary.
