Hi there, I have been on 20mg of citalopram for about 4 months and felt that I was not feeling a lot better but knew something positive had happened. I think my doctor is confused with me as I went on one day saying i was anxious about being on them and I had started halving my tablet due to the excessive tiredness. IN the last week I've been taking 40mg and went and told the doctor and she wasnt very happy. Its obvious that I dont really know how I am feeling but I just feel the depression is still there. Anyway she advised me to taper off it as she didnt think i was depressed anymore so I feel quite miffed and dont want to admit i am taking 40mg. Its disappointing that some of these doctors expect us to know exactly how we are feeling when the whole reason we take ourselves to them is to get some answers and assistance. Do you think i should go and see another doctor and explain I am going to try the higher dose?

I just started it and all of a sudden getting numbness in left arm and like it is light feeling .  So I guess I will give it a week and see.  Glad to know thought it was sign of stroke because of the numbness but my heart is good and blood pressure already went to the doctor.

You may be just adjusting to the new dose.  I take celexa and when I upped my dose I had that fuzzy headed feeling for at least a week.
