clonazepam helping? Slept a little better

My doctor switching me to paxil and clonazepam at night two days ago. The first night I only took .25 of the clonazepam and there was no difference. Last night I tried .5 and seemed to sleep a little better. I only work up at 4:30, took a xanax and feel back to sleep until 6:45 am. Usually once I am up at 4 I am up the rest of the morning in a pretty hard panic. I am trying to feel hopefully, but not too hopeful. I just wanted to say "Yeahh!" when I saw the clock.

Clonazepam is a benzo that I have been prescribed in the past and it worked for me.  It has a longer half life than other benzos and is usually prescribed on a schedule on a more long term basis.  My only question is, does your doctor know that you are taking xanax while you are on clonazepam?  Mixing benzos can be dangerous, in my opinion if your caregivers are not completely informed of what you are on.  Are you currently transiitioning?  Just insure you follow your doctor's instructions with these.

I had a good experience with clonazepam, but we all react differently to variuos medications.  Keep us posted!

Thanks for the note. My doc does know about the xanax. She wants me to take two times as much as I am taking. See would like me on .5 four times a day. I do .25 three to four times a day. I am a little scared mixing all the meds!
