combining antidepressants for panics

Hi all,

I just wanted to share this with you.I previously posted about my experience on the combination of

molipaxin(desyrel) and prozac.I had to be taken off both abruptly by my doctor as combined they made my blood pressure go dangerously low and made me feel awful in general.

I'm not saying this combination wouldnt work for someone else but for me it was an absolute disaster.

I'm now 23 days med free and still feel my body is recovering from these meds.

Today has been the first in a good while I feel 'normal'.ok there is anxiety but is not that rebound anxiety/panic that can have one climbing the walls.

the awful dizziness I was experiencing has subsided a good bit.

I'm not saying go without meds but for me these particular meds did cause extra problems.

my doctor wants to me try cipramil and I am cautious about it.I want to make sure is clear of the other ones before I even consider trying it.

Does anyone know on average how long it takes desyrel and prozac to leave the system?

Someone might know, on average, how long it takes.

But average is a mathematical number based on a large number of cases. It may -or may not- reflect YOUR experience. Consult closely with your doc.

And hang in!

Hi,
Thought I was the only one who experienced blood pressure decreases from the desyrl (trazadone).  Actually my blood pressure was starting to get high, but when I started using desyrl for sleep, the blood pressure went down and stayed down.  Usually it is low normal (not too low), but am glad it isn't high.  In fact at one time I mentioned to a shrink that desyrl was keeping my blood pressure down and the shrink acted like I was making it up.  Wonder what studies have shown about that side effect.

thanks for replies.
my doc told me it was definetly desyrl that dropped my blood pressure so dramatically. It was an experience I could have done without.of course high blood pressure is not good but on the other hand when it gets too low its dangerous also.
