How come when some people look at me or talk to me I get very emotional and just start crying for no reason?

Sometimes when a person has the psychiatric disability (not just anxiety disorder) the emotional response that you would want to have is not the one that you express. You could speak to your psychiatrist about it but its not just a medication issue so talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy can be effective in addition to medication.

One of the common symptomns of depression is being over-emotional and anxiety ( overreaction basicly ).

You might be suffering from a depression which is probably caused by a lack of serotonin and that is why people are used to treat depression with anti-depressants. But there is one thing you must know about before thinking about taking meds.

Depression and anxiety can be both treated with talk therapy. So i suggest seeing a therapist pror taking any medications but you must consult a doctor first since i'm not a doctor and im only giving you suggestions.

Another suggestion i give to everyone, and i have a feeling that some people will get tired of hearing that, is physical activity ( the body produces hormones that are essential for healthy mind-body during excersing ) and healthy diet. Our body was designed to move and to eat bio to it is all things you can work on prior engaging a therapy with medication. Note that a medication therapy with anti-depressant means at least 6 months taking the medications and sometimes have really bad side effect and it can take several trials to find the right meds for you.

Here again i'm not a doctor and that i'm only giving you suggestions. I would suggest you see you doctor to get his opinion.

Best regards,
M4

yeah crying at the drop of a hat and for no reason is a sign of depression, other symtoms are low or no motivation, low energy, either sleeping too much, waking early and not being able to get back to sleep or constant broken sleep, mood swings, apathy, taking too slow with slow movements, thoughts of suicide or hurting another person....lack of personal care and household care..... loosing interest in hobbies and normal pleasures, avoiding normal situations like meeting up with friends and some others as well..... ohh anxiety can be part of it as well.

Can i ask though has anything happened recently that ur aware of that could of made u feel like this?
