cymbalta question

the doc gave me a 2 week supply of cymbalta 30mg then a 60mg "maintenance" dose.  I have found that 30mg is way too much so i called the doc to prescribe the 20mg dose but my insurance won't pay for the cymbalta.  They require that I use an alternative, generic or have the doc fax the insurance company with the reason why I specifically need cymbalta.

I want to come off the stuff anyway.  Can i just stop after about a week or so of 30mg?  If not what do i do about the insurance deal?

i was taking cymbalta and just stopped one day for no good reason nothing happened to me. also i found that the dose he gave me was to strong also so i would cut the pill in half-that method might work. hope all works out

i have the capsules so i can't cut them up.  Maybe I'll just a day without taking them and see what happens.

What do you mean it is to strong, what symptoms are you getting?
