cymbalta question...anyone on it?

I have been on this drug for about 2 months now. I have been noticing a light chest feeling up to my throat / mild heart palpitations/ phlem. Now I had had the heart palpitations before but I have been noticing them a bit more. It did resolve a lot of my other symptoms like tingling/ burning feeling and anxiety. Also some shortness of breath but I am not sure if that is my asthama or what. This has been happening since I upped my dose. I just had a chest X ray which as normal ( I was worried about some kind of infection). But I am not sure if it the meds or just me...Hopefully It just fades soon

Thanks

Brandon

So your saying that I need to maybe lower my dosage? I have phlem right now and a pulled muscle on my ribs so its not helping with the breathing. But I cant stand the light feeling in my chest / throat. It feels like i have a lump in my throat or a narrow passage way. Tonight I almost like passed out because of it. But I was experiancing a panic attack from stressing on this ****.

I have taken cymbalta for yrs..(not right now b/c I am expecting)..however, the exact same thing happened to me!  It was also after I upped my dose.  It is a side effect for sure.  I got the dosage to what was right for me, and loved it!  It was like nt and day for me.  Believe me....I can't take it right now and I appreciate it more than ever..LOL~!

I hope that helps... just remember..it's all about the dosage SOMETIMES....  Good Luck!

There can be side effects from medication, however, remember that you are taking this for anxiety.  When I started taking medication, I read about all the horror stories about them and tended to blame every little symptom that I was feeling on the meds.  In my experience, when we have anxiety; especially when it is related to our health, we can sometimes tend to focus on what we are worried about...that is what can make this cycle of thinking so hard to get out of.

Having said that, always keep in touch with your prescribing doctor and if you have access to a therapist, I always strongly suggest finding one you are comfortable with that you can gain some long term knowledge on anxiety which really helps in the long run...as they say, 'knowledge is power' when it comes to dealing with this....keep us posted!
