dealing with it

A few years ago I started having panic attacks. My doctor gave me Citalopram, which relieved them fully. I stopped taking them in the summer. A few times since then I've had panic attacks. Last Sunday I had a severe panic attack followed by a constant state of nausea. I also started shaking a lot, feeling extremely anxious, feeling tired all the time and having trouble sleeping. My doctor told me I should go back on Citalopram. I started taking 1 pill (20mg) a day on Tuesday. This anxiety is quite different from the panic attacks I was having before. From what I've read on this site it seems like it will last a long time and be very debilitating. I'm starting to become worried, since I seem to just be getting worse every day. I had to do two exams in school in an extremely anxious state, at the edge of my seat stuck in a horrible posture writing as quickly as I could just to get out of there. I feel like I can't do anything, including leaving the house. I've just been laying around feeling horrible. Anyone know how effective Citalopram is and if/when I should expect relief?

citalopram should start kicking in about 4-6weeks Hang in there.it will get better.
