depression/ anxiety and birth control

by mblazina, Nov 14, 2008 05:00AM
Can birth control cause depression and anxiety and feelings of fatigue? I have been on bc for about 6 yrs and have been feeling like **** but never thought it might be caused by that? I have had numerous blood tests done and everything shows up normal but I have recently been diagnosed w/depression and general anxiety disorders.  I'm wondering if BC can cause these?

All doctors will say, NO, but i think YES!! Definately, I used to be a happy layed back person and I sware that the pill has made me a wreck. I mean if its pumping you full of hormones then it must do something to your emotions, right? What pill you on by the way?
